Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of Board

Mr. DeVries has been in the fuel cell industry since 1996, helping guide the development of the world's first commercially successful air-cooled fuel cells, sold by ReliOn. He has held executive roles in his own startup, Genesis Fueltech, as well as with fuel cell companies in China, California, and Singapore prior to founding Protonas. As a named inventor on well over 20 patents, Mr. DeVries has a deep technical understanding of fuel cells and the electronics needed to support them in practical applications.

Shaik Mohammed Shoiab

Head of Engineering

Shoiab has a deep background in batteries and fuel cells, with further expertise in CAD design, parts, and system development. Holding a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, he brings a unique perspective to the team for aerial applications of fuel cell systems. Shoiab works across all aspects of the fuel cell stack, engine, and engine integration into various use cases.

Dineshkumar Ponnaiyan

Fuel Cell Stack R&D Lead

Dineshkumar focused on fuel cell fabrication, testing, and analysis as part of his doctoral work at PSGCT, Coimbatore. With a strong understanding of fuel cell theory and operation, he leads the effort to optimize the design and performance of Protonas fuel cell stacks.
